More and more vehicles come with dashboard computers responsible for the car's electronics. XPC manufacturer Shuttle demonstrated that even more is possible: a Shuttle XPC SN41G2B was installed in a Cadillac Escalade SUV. Thanks to its small size the Shuttle could be easily installed between the front seats. The Shuttle XPC showed its strengths in the multimedia area. Featuring an AMD processor, it was configured with Windows XP Media Center Edition 2004 from Microsoft, making it the ideal combination of entertainment and business. With a TFT-display integrated in the dashboard, passengers can watch DVDs or stay in touch with friends or family while on the road. The Shuttle XPC can also enhance the car radio, it can play MP3 files. The Shuttle XPC barebone SN41G2B's keyboard and remote control of are also placed in the center console between the seats. Just in case that wasn't enough the Shuttle XPC can be controlled via a touch screen. "It's the proof that Shuttle XPCs will arrive in all areas of life," explains Richie Lin, managing director of Shuttle Computer Handels GmbH. More technology is bound to be featured in cars in the future - also in Germany. Innovative and high quality products have made Shuttle the market leader of Mini-PCs, assures Richie Lin.
