NorthCon 2008 - Shuttle raffling 5 tickets for the mega LAN Event

NorthCon 2008 - Shuttle raffling 5 tickets for the mega LAN Event

The annual NorthCon will be taking place again this year at the Holstenhallen in Neumünster. Thousands of gaming fans will converge on the site between the 18th and 21st of December to try their hand at taking home one of a total of 25,000 € in prizes. A new attempt will also be launched at breaking the current German participation record. For those unable to secure ticket until now, Shuttle has good news: it is raffling off five admission tickets.

The largest LAN party in Germany will be opening its gates to thousands of gamers again this year, with a mix of outstanding gaming and great promotions. The event in question is naturally the NorthCon, held in Neumünster, Schleswig-Holstein. Sleeping space and showers are provided at the 12,000 m2 space, as are a catering and a mobile SUBWAY stand. That said, the focus as always remains on communal gaming and side events such as the WWCL tournament, the casemodding contest and numerous exhibitors.

Shuttle, the manufacturer of high-performance mini-PCs, has been sponsoring the event since 2003. Its machines are a big factor helping the tournament run smoothly. A bevy of current barebones mini-PCs stand waiting to be claimed by the tournament champions. Shuttle is also helping organise the quiz-show parody "Who wants to be a barebones-aire", with a barebones machine awarded to the winner.

An in-house TV channel, NorthCon TV, will document the happenings. NorthCon will also be making another go at the attendance record. The previous record of 3,500 participants was set in 2005, meaning that organisers are aiming for no less than 3,600 participants this time around.

In short: an event you won't want to miss. Which is why everyone is being given the chance to win one of 5 admission tickets.
