Switch on a computer via network (WOL) |
|
WakeUP! is a simple freeware tool which can remotely switch on an other computer via Wake-on-LAN (WOL) function, even when it is located in an other subnet. You only have to enter the MAC address of the network card and the IP address (where the last block is 255). Please use this program on your own risk.
Example: wake 00-00-34-ab-ff-ff 123.123.123.255
There exists software which can show the MAC address of the network card. In case you use a Realtek LAN controller under Windows, then you can simply use the NBSTAT tool to show the MAC address:
NBTSTAT -a IPNAME |
