Overclocking features are comprehensive and Shuttle has even added onboard power and reset switches. And most important is the fact that nForce3 chipset has locked PCI clocks and adjustable AGP clocks unlike any other Athlon 64 chipset. (...) There is lots of empty space between AGP and DIMM slots, which helps installation process of memory modules even if long display adapter is on its place at AGP slot. The way it should be but isn't usually. (...) Overall I think that AN50Rs layout is quite spacious and there isn’t very much room for criticism. (...) PC Health Status monitors most important voltages and also memory voltage. Processor temperature monitor shows high temperature, as it should, very nice. (...) There is no doubt that nForce 3 150 is "the" chipset when it comes to overclocking Athlon 64 processors. (...) | Hersteller Shuttle hat mit dem neuen AN50R ein souveränes Produkt auf Basis des nForce 3 150 Chipsatz von Nvidia auf den Markt gebracht. Gepaart mit einer umfangreichen Ausstattung kann das AN50R durch gute Leistungen überzeugen. Auch der Lieferumfang hat einiges zu bieten und rundet den insgesamt positiven Eindruck ab.
Hier sorgt wieder das Shuttle-Mainboard für ein Performance-Optimum. |

Wirft man einen Blick auf das Backpanel, so entdeckt man schon einige Besonderheiten, denn man findet dort nicht nur die bekannten Anschlüsse wie: PS/2 (Tastatur & Maus), LPT-Port, COM-Port, USB 2.0, OnBoard Sound und einen 10/100MBit LAN Anschluss, sondern zusätzlich noch einen SPDIF-, einen FireWire- und einen GigaBit LAN-Port. Dies kann man als durch aus sehr gute Bestückung ansehen, denn es ist alles vorhanden, was man benötigt um jedes Gerät anschließen zu können. (...) Fazit: (...) Das Boardlayout ist super gelungen, alles sitz dort, wo man es gut erreichen kann. Keine Kabel behindern die anderen. Und was uns besonders gut gefallen hat, ist das die RAM-Bänke trotz eingebauter Grafikkarte gut zu erreichen sind. Die Bedienung des Mainboards ist mehr als einfach, denn alles ist wunderbar im Handbuch oder auf dem Board selbst erklärt, sodass man einfach nur alles anstecken braucht uns los legen kann. (...) Insgesamt kann man sagen, dass Shuttle mit dem AN50R Mainboard ein sehr gut ausgestattetes und vom Layout überzeugendes Board auf den Markt gebracht hat. (...)

Im Gegenteil: Shuttle hat die Zeit genutzt, um die fehlenden Speicher-Timing Optionen im BIOS nachzuliefern. (...) Die Ausstattung der Platine läßt mit Audio, Serial-ATA Raid, USB 2.0, Firewire und Dual-LAN Funktion keine Wünsche offen. Daß das ganze mit lediglich ca. 150 EUR Händlerpreis auch noch bezahlbar bleibt, macht es angesichts des Gebotenen schwer, ein Haar in der Suppe zu finden. (...) Daher unser Fazit: Ein stabiles, problemloses und gut ausgestattetes Mainboard. + gute Stabilität und Kompatibilität + Reichhaltige Ausstattung + gute Leistung + Audio Onboard + Dual LAN Onboard + OC-Ausstattung (außer Multiplikator) + Gutes Preis-/Leistungs-/Ausstattungsverhältnis Schnell, stabil, angesichts des gebotenen und der Ausstattung auch seinen Preis wert. | Deutsche Übersetzung: Shuttle hat wirklich gute Arbeit geleistet, ein Sockel-754-Board mit nForce 3 Chipsatz herauszubringen. Uns hat gefallen, dass Shuttle für fast alle Overclocking-Einstellungen im Bios aufführt. Wir freuten uns auch über Leistungsmerkmale wie 6-Kanal Soundfunktion, Dual Ethernet mit Gigabit-LAN, Firewire, Serial ATA RAID und die griffbereiten onboard Power-und Resetknöpfe. Ein ausführliches Handbuch ist auch dabei. Es hatte exzellente Stabilität, und hinsichtlich die Geschwindigkeit ist genauso wie bei anderen Athlon-64-Mainboards. Fazit Shuttle hat mit dem AN50R wieder einmal ein großartiges Mainboard herausgebracht. Als eines der ersten Athlon-64-Boards auf dem Markt, stopft Shuttle nicht phantasievolle Softwarepakete und Zubehörteile rein, aber bieten natürlich die Top-Komponenten onboard. 6-Kanal Audio, Dual Ethernet mit Gigabit-LAN, Serial ATA RAID und die zusätzlichen, onboard Power- und Resetknöpfe machen aus dem AN50R ein attraktive Lösung, ohne dabei teuer bezahlen zu müssen. Wenn man nach einem leistungsstarken Athlon-64 Mainboard mit hoher Stabilität und Ausstattung Ausschau hält, sollte man das AN50R in Betracht ziehen. Wenn man zudem noch ein Fan des nForce3 Chipsatzes ist, wird man dieses Mainboard noch umso mehr mögen. English version: Shuttle has done a great job of getting the nForce 3 chipset out in Socket 754 format. We liked that Shuttle has options for almost all overclocking features in the bios. We also enjoyed the included features like 6 channel audio, dual Ethernet with Gigabit, Firewire, Serial ATA RAID, and the handy power and reset buttons. They also include good documentation. Performance is on par with other Athlon 64 motherboards, and stability was excellent. Conclusion Shuttle has another fine motherboard in the AN50R. As one of the first Athlon 64 boards out of the gate they don't mess with fancy software packages or accessories, but they do offer some of the top components around. 6 channel audio, dual Ethernet with Gigabit, Serial ATA RAID, and power and reset buttons on board make the AN50R an attractive solution that should not cost an arm and a leg. If you are looking for a good performing Athlon 64 motherboard with good stability and features then check out the AN50R. If you are an nForce chipset fan then you will like this board even more. |
