New All-in-One PCs for POS applications
Over the past 100 years the way we have paid for goods has changed and the machines used to calculate our bills at point of sale have been continuously developed and refined. Today's cash registers have no buttons. Their software can be customised to individual requirements. They are also economical, low-maintenance, robust and durable. Shuttle has several solutions in its product range specifically aimed at this area of application.
Shuttle All-in-One PCs already have a long tradition of use. We have supplied 15.6" touchscreens with in-built PC for many years. Meanwhile, the fifth generation of the X50 series is available, which offers a space-saving design, two colour versions and the absence of fans or other mechanical components. This ensures whisper-quiet operation, a long service life and requires less maintenance. The resistive touchscreen will work without skin contact, e.g. with gloves or the supplied stylus. The entire front panel of the current generation is IP54-certified and therefore protected from dust and splashes of water. The X50 models are provided with Gigabit Ethernet, WLAN, Bluetooth* and serial and parallel interfaces*.
Two fully-configured complete systems have been developed based on the X50 series, which we would like to present here. Both versions are assembled and tested by Shuttle in Germany.
