Off to Amsterdam - Shuttle at ISE 2017
On 7 February 2017, the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) trade show will be staged in what is now its 14th year. The world’s largest and fastest-growing trade show for AV technology and electrical systems will be taking place as usual at Amsterdam’s RAI Convention Centre in the heart of the Dutch capital. With 135 new exhibitors in an exhibition space which has been expanded by around 3,000 square metres, this year’s show will be the biggest so far.
Mini PC manufacturer provides compact multi-display PC solutions for displaying 4K media
Over a total of four successive exhibition days, visitors to the trade show, which runs through to 10 February 2017, can expect to find a wide range of innovations from more than 900 global companies covering automation, content management, LED lighting technology, multimedia control systems, professional audio solutions right through to video projectors and displays.
The focus for Shuttle will be on the area of digital signage. As well as the latest developments in the world of mini PCs, Shuttle also has brand-new platforms for the POI segment up its sleeve.
This will be the fifth year in a row that Shuttle has been at the show, and in previous years it was able to gain a wealth of experience and make new contacts. At the exhibition stand in Hall 8 the trade crowd can expect to find a cross section of the Shuttle XPC product range. Particular highlights to look forward to include solutions offering the option to connect up to three high-resolution 4K monitors.
Another main focus at the trade show will be on particularly energy-saving versions which operate completely fanlessly. Both the XPC slim Barebone DX30, which is based on the Intel Apollo Lake architecture, and the even smaller Android-based XPC nano Barebones NS02A and NS02E represent this product family. But all three models boast plentiful power reserves that make it possible to control even 4K monitors with ease. The advantages of fanless operation are obvious – the devices are almost maintenance-free and operate quietly.
The most powerful model this year is the XPC cube Barebone SZ170R8V2. Not only does it accommodate large graphics cards such as the GeForce GTX 1080, it also offers plenty of space for up to 64 GB of DDR4 memory and up to four 3.5 inch drives. Two Intel network interfaces and an M.2 slot for fast NVMe memory cards round out the package. A BIOS update that will be available shortly will make the SZ170R8V2 futureproof and compatible with Intel’s newest "Kaby Lake" generation of processors.
All XPC solutions from Shuttle feature the proven Barebone concept and rely on flexibility, compactness, robustness and easy configuration.
