CowCotLand: The Shuttle XPC P 2500G

CowCotLand: The Shuttle XPC P 2500G "is a dream"

"Gaming. PC games become more and more demanding when it comes to PC performance. This is the main reason why people opt for hardware upgrades," know the editors of the French web site CowCotLand and decide "to take a look at this small form factor, an accumulation of power: The Shuttle XPC P 2500G."

This fully configured system is based on the Shuttle XPC Barebone SN25P, coming in the typical P chassis. The front panel features a number of drive doors. On of them hides the optical drive, and "flips down and closes automatically when the CD tray is retracted." Inside the P chassis you will find "a screwless arrangement of drive bays" that enables you "to add up to two more hard drives to it, thanks to its clipping bays." The CowCotLand testers concluded that "Shuttle created a very well thought out interior layout. The free room in the center helps to improve the airflow that faces only a small number of obstacles in its way out," wrote the editors.

"The P 2500G really packs punch with its very fast processor. An AMD Athlon 64 FX 60 was put in charge here," praise the editors continuing there is also two memory modules "of 1GB DDR SDRAM PC-3200 Dual Channel from TakeMS working inside," while the "high-end graphics card Radeon X1900XTX from Connect 3D" completes the package. According to CowCotLand "there is no doubt that those components will be able to deliver high scores on different benchmark tests."
The editors summed up: "But let's not forget about the slight "tuning touch" we liked so much (...), and the power button that is surrounded by a shiny blue light."

Pros:

  • Performance
  • Very well thought out internal layout
