August 2001 | 92 out of 100 Its a good performer, its priced competitively, has a wonderful manual, and has the overclocking necessities. I think this has to be one of the best value KT133A boards out. If you don't need RAID, look at this board for its strong performance. I highly recommend this board to somebody who is building their first system. July 2001 | Heatmeter Rating 8 of 10 All in all, we'd have to say we were very pleased with the Shuttle AK11. The quality of the board is top notch, it is an excellent performer and it's layout is near flawless. We had a good luck while overclocking and our test system was completely stable throughout all of the benchmarks. If you're in the market for a quality KT133A based motherboard, you cannot go wrong with the Shuttle AK11. Barring the fact that DDR is here, and is very affordable, there is no disadvantage to owning a board such as this. Lost Circuits www.lostcircuits.com/... 15. May 2001 | One must not forget that some of the hottest boards in the retail channel were actually made by Shuttle, (...) Shuttle gives a very generous 6 PCI slots, plenty of space for anyone (...) Around the AGP slot is an AGP retention mechanism, which keeps the AGP card in its slot. (...) The active cooling of the chipset, which, by itself, can make some significant difference in terms of overclocking and stability of the chipset at higher bus speed. (...) The board was running at 150MHz (...) On the other hand, there are enough VIA 133A boards out there listing FSB options up to 150MHz or beyond which won't even boot above 145MHz. | PC go: "Gut - ein schnelles Board für AMD Prozessoren" PC go! |
