The AE25 is everything that I have come to expect from Shuttle. From the overclocking and performance abilities right through to the board design and layout, it is obvious that Shuttle are manufacturing some high quality boards. The AE25 is undoubtedly the closest board I have seen to becoming almost perfect in all areas. (...) Not only is the board affordable but also with the Intel 815EP-B stepping allowing future support for Intel Pentium III FC-PGA2 Tualatin processors will extend the life span of the AE25. Als einziges Mainboard im Vergleichstest erreicht das Shuttle AE25R in allen Testdisziplinen die Note sehr gut.

The AE25R is shuttles top end Intel Pentium III Tualatin motherboard, and is jam packed with features, making it a very attractive package for those of you looking to build a well-rounded system.

Conclusion
Overall I am very impressed by this board, I have been using it for over a month and I truly love it, very stable, zero problems whatsoever, and works very well with all my hardware in many different configurations, truly a feat in itself. I think that Shuttle has a strong product on their hands that is perfect for the Tualatin platform, and I would welcome any shuttle product into my own computer.

Pro's: Stable, Onboard Raid, Jumperless, Cheap

AE25R will be the new reference system for future motherboards (...) With the combination of the Tualatin processors and Promise R.A.I.D. controller configured for striping, the AE25R should prove to be an excellent system board in the workstation environment. (...) With the AE25R, overclocking was a snap. (...) once the FSB was set to 160MHz, we were running at a stable 1.44GHz. (...) 

Conclusion: Shuttle has taken things a step further with the AE25R by adding the additional boost of R.A.I.D. With our test system configured for striping, the AE25R not only showed excellent performance scores, the system was much snappier and more responsive, with application load-times reduced dramatically. The people at Shuttle have put together an excellent product with the release of the AE25R. The quality and design of the board is quite good, with an excellent balance between value and features. Whether looking to upgrade an existing workstation or build a quality gaming system with good overclockability, the AE25R is a wise choice (...)

Das AE25R ist dabei nicht nur irgendein Mainboard, sondern eines mit einer sehr guten Ausstattung, deshalb werden wir es separat in einem Test präsentieren und noch näher darauf eingehen. Insgesamt macht das AE25R einen sehr guten Eindruck und muß sich nicht hinter einem Abit-Mainboard verstecken - es bietet Raid, gute Overclocking-Eigenschaften und auch eine gute Performance...
