HEXUS.net: "Executive Recommended"

The leading British online source of IT news and reviews recently had a closer look at Shuttle's fastest fully-configured small form factor PC available to date, the Shuttle XPC P2 3700G. The high performance rig built around Core2 Extreme passed the tests brilliantly letting HEXUS grant Shuttle the coveted "Executive Recommended" award for "intelligently packing in so much power into a well-designed XPC small form-factor chassis."

The Shuttle XPC P2 3700G is an "extremely high-specification XPC system that will appeal to the power user who requires portability and is limited by spatial considerations," explains HEXUS the target group of the most powerful Shuttle XPC launched to date.

Having unwrapped the package, the editors noticed that the P2 chassis is "designed for ultimate performance" which impressed with "black aesthetics" and "flipdown doors."

Conclusion: "The Shuttle P2 3700G, as configured in this review, is awarded the HEXUS Executive Recommended award for intelligently packing in so much power into a well-designed XPC small form-factor chassis. It's not for everybody, mind you."

Apart from the appealing looks, the built-in state-of-the-art hardware could convince as well. The Shuttle XPC P2 3700G is loaded with an Intel Core2 Extreme processor, a 400GB hard disk, Nvidia's GeForce 7950GTX graphics card and 4 GBs of RAM. Bearing a high-end configuration inside may make one expect cooling issues and a high noise level. But this is well not the case here, as HEXUS clarifies that cooling was "paid due attention to" and "noise isn't an issue."

Moreover, "kudos to Shuttle for developing a SFF XPC that takes high-end componentry but keeps the noise down," states HEXUS.The Shuttle XPC P2 3700G passed the tough benchmark tests brilliantly and the HEXUS team "encountered no stability-related issues during a weekend of testing" either.

Who don't need all of this "impressive performance" provided, can reasonably opt for lower configurations, "as the company also offers lower spec."
