How to enable IDE Busmastering
for Chipset Intel 430xx/440xx

If you are using the
- Windows 95 OSR 2 release or
- Windows 95 OSR 2.1 release or
- Windows 95 OSR 2.5 release or
- Windows 98
you should not download the Intel BM-IDE driver,
as these operating system versions already contain 
a BM-IDE driver from Microsoft.

For Windows 95 OSR 2.x you should run the 
Intel® INF Installation Utility
in order to recognize the IDE controller
properly.

Note:
Windows 95 Retail or Windows 95A does not
include IDE Busmaster function, so you can
install the Intel Busmaster Driver 3.02 for
this purpose.

Mainboards mit den Chipsätzen Intel 430xx/440xx
benötigen für die oben aufgeführten Windows-
Betriebssystem Versionen keinen zusätzlichen
IDE Busmaster Treiber, weil dieser Treiber bereits
im Betriebssystem enthalten ist. Für Windows 95 OSR 2.x
wird das Intel® INF Installation Utility empfohlen,
damit die IDE-Schnittstelle korrekt erkannt werden
kann.

Windows 95 (Retail-Version) oder Windows 95A
enthält keinen eigenen Busmaster-Treiber.
Für diese Betriebssysteme empfiehlt sich der
Intel Busmaster Driver 3.02.
