Bios-Update history for HOT-603 Mainboard

This file may not be up to date.
We are not liable for any damages caused by the bios-update.


Instructions of flashing bios.

1. Unzip the file and store them into floppy or hard disk.

2. Reboot the system from Window 95 safe mode and command prompt only
   or from floppy without loading any memory management program(ie 
   HIMEM.SYS, EMM386.SYS, QEMM...)

3. Change the directory to where the flash program and bios bin file 
   reside.

4. Check programming voltage of EEPROM
   Jumper JVROM1 1-2: 12V (Intel -i- and MX Chips)
   Jumper JVROM1 2-3: 5V  (generally: others than Intel and MX chips)

5. Execute the flash utility with following command line

   flash533 <filename> /sn /py

6. When flash program prompts to reboot or power off the system,
   please power off the system.

7. Turn on the computer again, and the new bios version number will
   appear on the top of left hand corner in a parenthesis of the
   first boot up screen.

   The bios will solve the Symbios scsi card with bios(ie Diamond Fireport 40,

        bugfix cannot boot from SCSI when IDE connected

WARNING!!!!
There is potential risk of flashing bios. If anything goes wrong during
the flashing procedure, the computer WILL NOT boot up again.  At this
moment, a new bios chip with bios program loaded is required.
